Young Engineers Club

Home schoolers and smaller private K-12 schools are looking for innovative ways of incorporating technology into their studies. Tom Collins will discuss the Young Engineers group started at the school his kids attend.

Digital Fabrication

The Fab Lab has access to a new CNC Roland Milling machine that's capable of producing some fantastic prototypes. We'll hear about the possibilities with new piece of equipment makes possible.

Laser Cutting and Etching

The Versatech laser cutter available in the Fab Lab is a great way of combining accuracy and precision in your next project. You'll learn how to prepare drawings of objects this machine can cut out for you. Then see what it takes to learn how you can operate this machine yourself in the Fab Lab.

Thing A Day

It takes a lot of dedication and and the available time to succeed with Thing A Day. Bob Spangler will be showing us some of the projects he created for this year's marathon build session.

Open Project Night

Bring your project out to show what you've been working on and share with our Show & Tell participants.

Make:KC Membership

Make:KC invites you to come out and get involved with our activities but we depend on help from our community of Makers to keep the group and activities going. We are expanding opportunities with projects and workshops at both the HMS Beagle Science Store and the BTC Fab Lab. Membership with Make:KC has benefits; our members enjoy a 10% discount at the Beagle store on many items. The BTC Fab Lab offers a $10 discount for their monthly memberships with extra savings for quarterly payment.

We offer $25 annual memberships with Make:KC for individuals or $40 annual membership for families. Your membership helps support our research, project planning, outreach activities, and educational efforts.
