October 2010 - Show and Tell

Setting up this month's Show and Tell took a few minutes longer to get equipment ready for our first live webcast. Curt McMillan and his crew tonight included Richard Brull, both seen in this photo. They regularly broadcast live at the Inventors Club of KC.

This month, Mike Overstreet and Luis Rodriguez showed photos of their trip to the World Maker Faire NY at the NYSCI Hall of Science. You can see that presentation in full on the video archives below.

Dave Dalton brought us up to date on some light pens and gadgets he built for Kaleidoscope's Glow Doodle exhibit. At last months Show and Tell, Chris Duh provided an online version of Glow Doodle. Dave mentioned using the XKeys hardware from P.I. Engineering in the video below.

Mike Overstreet also brought his Robotis Bioloid robot built in the humanoid configuration. You can find more about Mike on his I, Bioloid web site. Check out the Trossen Robotics site for more about this Bioloid robot kit.

Check out the full meeting on the video archives below. We met in the basement of the HMS Beagle Science Store. You will notice the frequency of trains passing by here. There are 52 trains per day going by on this busy track.
