Mini Maker Faire 2010 In the News

A Calm Start to a Busy Day

Setup for the Kansas City Mini Maker Faire started before 6:00 am shrouded in a light fog along the Missouri River. Make Magazine blogger Matt Mets captured the mood of the morning as the day begins.

Fox 4 Morning News

Fox 4 came out and did a live broadcast from 7:00 to 9:00 am as we set up for the day. Lori Patterson and her cameraman followed us around picking up stories as we proceeded to set up our exhibits.

The Argonaut Jr. submarine was their initial focal point as the morning started. Then more of our exhibitors came in to get set up. We had the 3D golf labyrinth which caught their eye and then the MakerBots started showing up and Mitch Altman's soldering workshop projects caught their attention too. Before leaving that morning, they filled the storage card on the camera and had plenty to take back and edit for later broadcasts that evening.

As Seen on Makezine

Check out this article on the MakezIne Blog about the days activities and exhibits. There was plenty to see and do for all ages.

Matt also shares many of the pictures he took throughout the day on his flickr photostream.
