Fab Lab

Make:KC is proud of our alliance with the MCC-BTC Fab Lab, and United States Fab Lab Network (USFLN). The Fabrication Laboratory (Fab Lab) is like a health club but with machining equipment instead. USFLN grew from the success of an MIT class, “How to Make (almost) Anything”. FabLab is a resource to access tools, technology, and training. It is a laboratory filled with high-tech machines and tools – what you create there is almost limitless.

Fab Lab provides access to milling machines, lathes, 3D printers, 3D scanners, CNC machines, welders, electronics test equipment, vacuum forming machines, routers, computers, and much more.

By supporting Make:KC, you get discounts on Fab Lab membership while helping students and adults explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through collaborative learning, workshops, and hands-on projects. Make:KC is inspired by Make Magazine, Maker Faire, and the Maker movement.

Make: KC is a family friendly organization
