Community Science & Technology Night - January 26, 2011We had a great time with the Community Science & Technology Night. There were four news crews out to cover the event. Cynthia Kramer with SCOPE Missouri did a great job raising awareness of science and technology which also provided us an pportunity to get our message out about Make:KC. Check out this one from NBC Action News: Inner City Youth Get Science Exposure. A special thanks to Richard Brull and Curt McMillan for bringing out the line following robots and to Jason O'Reilly for bringing the Wimshurst machines. Also thanks go out to Steve Siegel for helping pass out information about Make:KC at his exhibits with the UMKC Physics Department. Steve always has a way of stealing the show. Everyone in the building knew when Steve was up to something. It was a lot of fun. The Boys & Girls Club have a great facility and It was a good chance to meet new people and hopefully build new alliances with Make:KC.
