Build Night - May 15 Steampunk mask (leather cutting and dyeing)

Build Night - May 15  Steampunk mask (leather cutting and dyeing).

We are now into the meat of it.  We will be taking a pattern and cutting the leather.  We will also be dyeing the leather.  Bring a Pencil, leather hole punch, sharp razor knife or two.  Bring your brass bits and other fiddley bits to start attaching.

If you were not there last week come on by and we will get you started.

Build Night - May 8 Steampunk mask (design and pattern)

We will be designing and making the pattern for our steampunk mask. The type of mask is like a dust mask.  It will fit over the nose and mouth.

Build Night April 24-Stained Glass Boxes

We had a great start with room for new people to join.

I know I keep saying boxes but they look like coffins.

We need to add tops and bottoms and a hinge.

September 2011 - Build Nights

This month we have two Build Night projects planned.

The Cracker Box Amplifier will add volume to those of you who built the Electric version of the Cigar Box Guitar.

Our second project is a Laser Spy Communicator. This device will also make use of the Cracker Box Amplifiers.

Be sure to check out our Build Events Discussion Forum for more information.

McDonald milk bottles with lids,

V8 bottles with lids,

any plastic bottles with lids,

Build Night July 19-Cigar Box Guitar

It took longer than I thought to build a Cigar Box Guitar this week. So we will finish them up next Tuesday the 19.

You will need to bring a Cigar Box and clamps would help.  Extra stuff that we share amongst ourselves are soldering gear, clamps, battery powered drill if you have one, and drill bits if you have one.  Tell everyone where you got your cigar box.  It might help others.

There are still 2 kits available at $15.00 eaches.  There were extra boxes if you just want to show up.
