Announcements pertinent to Make:KC
I wish to thank all of you who have encouraged my efforts to get an Heirloom Chemistry set into the market place. I wish to especially thank Mike Grundvig who graciously rendered my Photoshop drawings into a form that allowed me to post a conceptualization on my website as well as rendering my drawings into a form that could be read by a CNC router. Also, Tom Collins who has volunteered to rout out the first prototype box for the chemistry set and with whom I look forward to working these next days to see this come to fruition.
Carol and I want to thank Makers Randall Jesse, Mike Grundvig, Kevin Simpson, and Vince Thompson for helping insure that Saturday's, Rocket Science Day – October Sky, was a success. It was cold and a little windy, but we managed to launch 70 rockets and made a lot of kids very happy (after all, that’s our goal).
Also, the 3-D Printer parts for the first buy-in all arrived safely and Mike proclaimed them worthy.
