First night building the Benchtop Power Supplies.
Meeting Dale and watching as he builds communities around the world, you get a sense of great accomplishments that touch us all.
In his Eulogy for My Father Dale shares a glimpse into the importance family plays in his life. How Mom and Dad did their special magic together for the benefit of others their whole life.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dale and his family after the recent passing of his father.
This month's build nights will be Bench Top Power Supplies. Steve Siegel will lead us through the steps of building our power supplies useful when invention other electronics projects. These will have adjustable voltage and amperage adjustments. He is planning on using digital volt and amp meter gages.
These builds are at the HMS Beagle Science Store on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The cost for parts and supplies will run around $50.
California's Morro Bay High School is teaching students how to get ready for college by teaching useful skills. They're showing students how to get ready for college by showing them how to get ready for work.
Their learning by doing approach can prepare students to receive their high school diploma and a college associates degree on the same day.
The HMS Beagle Science Store and Make:KC, as part of our Maker Summer, have assisted high school students from Blue Valley CAPS and Lees Summit with the Dark Matter Assent balloon launch into near-space. The balloon will lift a high definition DSLR camera and GoPro video camera along with other sensors.
This is my favorite one.
Fab Lab Orientation & Safety Class
Make:KC's October Show & Tell will differ from previous events by offering the Fab Lab Orientation and Safety Class. This is a prerequisite to becoming a member of the BTC Fab Lab and access to their selection of great machines.
This month we have two Build Night projects planned.
The Cracker Box Amplifier will add volume to those of you who built the Electric version of the Cigar Box Guitar.
Our second project is a Laser Spy Communicator. This device will also make use of the Cracker Box Amplifiers.
Be sure to check out our Build Events Discussion Forum for more information.
So, what do Motorcycles and Steampunk have in common? Of course its the Creative, DIY-Type, Makers among us. Check out this month's Show & Tell lineup.
